| Ok, I know this doesn't matter because Carvin makes so many "types" BUT I'm bored and just for the fun of it, y'all tell me your favorite Carvin model AND why..... |

Herb,
Is that DC200T the only Carvin you own?
Of my Carvin's I like the neck of my DC200's neck the best, though all three of my CT's necks as well as my C66T have great necks to. |

Yeah, it's my only Carvin. It does everything I want, so there's no need for another! |

Well, I have three Carvin guitars... a 145, a 400, and Sapphire, my Bolt-T. Evidently, since Sapphire is the only one I've named so far, she must be my favorite! She definitely logs the most hours in practice and stage time.
I've been slowly tweaking my 400 lately, working on the setup and dialing that one in again. I really like the various tones you can get from the two humbuckers, especially with the splitting options. Running both of those guys as singlecoils produces some very Tele-like tones. And with the proper amp tweaking, it almost sounds like a piezo-equipped acoustic! Not to mention it can do all the double humbucker solidbody tones you can ask for. Very versatile axe. So the 400 is moving up the play list quite nicely.
And my 145 is gonna be on the workbench soon, for the same kinda tweaking. That one is one sweet guitar, too.
Of course, I've been doing eye feasts on these beautiful California Carved Tops lately, and those things are just droolicious. Could they really play and sound as good as they look?
Play on, Stan |

I don't own a Carvin but I've always wanted a Tele with a tremelo and 3 PUs like a strat.
Carvin looks like my best bet. I wish they made a Bolt Tele. |

Well, they don't make a bolt Tele model, but their neck-through Teles can sustain notes for a long, long time. And they'll still get all the bite and plenty of the twang that you always wanted. |
