Here's my Carvin Bolt T!
It appears to have a one piece Ash body, Sapphire Blue finish, and Wilkinson Tremolo.
The previous owner put in a Carvin TBH60 (twin blade humbucker) in the bridge position and wired it for splitting the coils.
I'd put it up against any Strat. This puppy stays in tune for weeks even without locking tuners, and gets great Tone!
It's neck (with the ebony fingerboard) is a little wider than a Strat's typical neck but that fit's me fine. |

It's purty! You probably shouldn't put it up in a shootout with a strat, you'd make the strat look bad. |

| Yeah, Sshhhh, we can't let the secret out. I don't brag it up too much over at FT. Those Fenderheads just wouldn't understand. |

Not only do they understand, they KNOW! Their pride will make them bluster with BS to cover it up, though! |

Flash Update! The wider ebony fingerboard suits some styles of playing very well, and I'm getting used to it quickly. The tones it gets are very Strat-like, but I'm not ecstatic about the bridge pickup, which came with their TBH60 twinblade humbucker. It's a little harsh for my ears, and I'll probably be swapping it out soon, for a full size hummer. The Wilkinson trem is very nice. The finish is beautiful, it stays in tune for weeks at a time, and sounds wonderful. I'm a happy camper!

| I always thought that type of guitar should just have that single coil sound. I also don't think the body's routed for a full HB. |

| Herb, I just edited the above post. The pickup I am unhappy with is actually the bridge pup, not the neck. I have had the pickguard off and there is room in the routes for a neck or bridge full-size hummer. I'm gonna have to think this one out, and figure out which way to go. |

| I've got two Bolts that I've built now and on the first one I went with an HSS pup setup, which I have since changed to SSS. I just like the sound of three singles better then a Bucker in the bridge. I've got plenty of Humbucker guitars to use when I want that sound. On the second one I installed a plain pick guard (no pups, no knobs, no switchs) along with a Roland GK-Kit-GT pup system for use with my Roland VG-8 exclusively. BTW the way the Bolt is routed you can mount one, two, or three Humbuckers if you so desire. |

| True Confession time, I took my Carvin Bolt-T to the gig this week, after slapping one of their full size humbuckers into the bridge position, and I nailed every tone I wanted all weekend. That doesn't happen to me very often. Seems like I'm always close to the tone I'm reachin' for but never getting there. This axe is moving up in the ranks of rotation. |

Hee-hee! IMHO, they are just the best value in a Strat-like guitar anywhere on the market! They really sing! |
