I can't help it. I've got lots of guitars, and I play them a lot. But I keep coming back to my Carvins. Their notes just ring so nice, and the necks are so sweet to play. Cool

Hey Terry! Great minds think alike!

In just the last two nights, I have going through the music for worship this weekend, and I started off with a Gibson 335, and then went to my Telecaster, because the Gibby was sounding too fat for a couple of songs. Then last night I started with my Telecaster, but something wasn't quite right, so I put Ashley down and got out Lester, my trusty old road dawg LP. And no, that wasn't doin' it either. I finally went and uncased Sapphire, my Carvin Bolt-T, and there it was! Again, Carvin won the shootout, even with dead strings on Sapphire. So tonight I'll put some new strings on her, and we should be good to go. Cool

Play on,
Stan

Stan,
Do you have more picture of that "Bolt T" that I could check out? Trans blue is by far my favorite color on a guitar!!!!!!!

Well, I only have the one that is on Photobucket available right now. Sapphire is actually their color they call Sapphire Blue, which has a slight shade of green to it also. It's really a gorgeous color, though, and I fell for it after I scored her off Ebay a few years back. Sheesh, I've played her enough now that she has a few battle scars. I found one spot a few weeks ago where I've knocked some paint off! She's getting some character.

Sapphire won again this weekend. I played my Tele at rehearsal on Thursday night, but something was missing... by the weekend Sapphire had snuck into the truck and got up onstage, again! Nailed it! Cool

OK, so this week, I changed strings on several guitars and have been playing them vigorously. But by last night, I found out that the pickup switch on my 32 year old Les Paul was going bad, so I put Lester back in his case. I went and got out Sapphire again, and yes, she did the trick. I put a new set of strings on her, and we're good to go! Cool

NO, but it's nice to know that there are some constants in this world. Wink

I'd like to have a Bolt Plus T someday but I'm not going to hold my breath or anything like that. Smile

Shucks, Terry, you've got some really beautiful Carvins! Goin' down to the level of the Bolt-T would be "slummin' it" for you! Laughing Laughing Laughing
