Hi folks; I'm a 52-year-old Texan, and the owner of, I think, a 96 Carvin hardtail Bolt. Great guitar and one of the best deals for the money in USA guitars out there. I also own 4 Hamers (Daytona, T-51, Special, Eclipse), a G&L ASAT Special, an AmStd Fender Tele, and a Peavey T-60, with accoustics including a Gibson J-45, Larrivee D-05 and Gibson LG-0.
I play mostly country, with a dose of blues and rockabilly.
Looking forward to reading your posts and learning from all on the board.

Well, Mr. mudshark, welcome aboard from a 53 year old Kansan. Carvin does indeed make an excellent guitar, especially for the money spent. We're glad you're here, join the fun. The board's been a little sleepy lately, let's liven it up! |

Thanks Herb. Surely the board will wake up and soon, as my experience is that Carvin players indeed have a passion about their guitars. I'm a bit of a Tele nut, and I'd say that a T-60 will make my radar screen in the future for a herd acquisition.
As for the Bolt, I've left it 100 percent stock; it sounds great to my ears as is, though I'm not really big on PUP changes. I've put Bardens in the Tele and Rios in the ASAT (seller threw'em in), but everything else is stock. |

| I bought my all koa DC200T with passive electronics about ten years ago, and haven't had to change a thing. It does everything I want from a solid body guitar. |
